Premium homestay in excellent North Burnaby location, in a newer house. Suitable for a responsible female student attending college/university or language school (female student only, or young working female).

Our two homestay bedrooms both include private bathrooms… you will not need to share your bathroom with anybody else. Bedroom includes comfortable queen size bed, desk & chair area, large closet storage area, independent heat control, and fastest hi-speed internet available. Air conditioning and HRV system that circulates clean, fresh, healthy air. Both bedrooms are on independent levels of the home, and offer a high level of privacy.

Convenient location provides easy/fast access to public transit taking you to SFU, FIC, ILSC, and the many other schools that are accessed through the Hastings Street corridor, and any other destination in downtown. Only a 2 minute walk to the bus stop and to a range of different shops and other amenities, such as banks, convenience stores, coffee shops and restaurants, etc., and only a 5 minute walk to a public library, swimming pool, and community centre. To get a better idea of how conveniently located our home is, we are a one minute walk from the intersection of Hastings St. and Madison St., in Burnaby... search the area to get a sense of the wide range of shops and services that are located only a very short walk away.

About us… we are a family of four. Two adults and two children, both of elementary school age. We have hosted international students for 15 years now, and are a fully inspected and approved homestay by several of the major homestay companies in our area. We have really enjoyed making close connections with the many students we have hosted. Our guests typically stay with us for several years, and continue to stay connected with us long after they have moved along. We make sure that our guests feel safe, comfortable and well taken care of :)

Food… we are a very food-focused family. We enjoy preparing delicious and healthy meals, using the best ingredients, mostly organic, to create interesting meal experiences that you will enjoy. Our monthly rate of $1275 includes two meals per day (breakfast and dinner)… this may be slightly more than some other homestays, but we think you will quickly appreciate the greater value you are receiving here, once you are staying with us.

We maintain a clean non-smoking home with no pets of any kind. Full laundry service is included, and you will not be expected to perform any household chores beyond maintaining your bedroom and private bathroom in tidy/clean condition.

Our goal is always to create a comfortable and relaxed environment for you to focus on excelling in your schoolwork. Between my partner and I, we have a total of 5 university degrees… and we are always interested in supporting you in your academic studies, and in providing you with any guidance that you may need. We often help our students when they find themselves struggling with any given project or essay, by guiding them through the process of assembling an outline or plan for its completion… and we are always very happy to help in this way.
