My name is Gail and I have been renting to international students from around the world since 1996. I have provided some with meals and others have chosen to buy their own food. I enjoy running a home stay and my house is very comfortable. The bedrooms and common areas are quite spacious. The location of my home is 15-20 minutes from downtown, within walking distance to the bus (10 min) and in a beautiful neighborhood. All I ask of students is to respect my home as if it is their own and to be considerate of other students in the home, with cleaness to be considerate of all who share the common areas.

I have traveled the world visiting previous students (Germany, Spain, France, Mexico, etc.) and students often return to BC to visit me with their families. There are many local tourist/sight seeing attractions (Ambleside beach and seawall, Grouse Mountain, Cleveland Dam, Lonsdale Quay, Lynn Canyon, etc.) that students visit that are in close proximity of my home. I love spending time with my family (2 sons, 8 grandchildren), cooking, listening to music and watching soccer (World Cup FIFA). My previous students appreciate my humor and lightheartedness. I am a consultant that facilitates a variety of workshops and I have also worked internationally with Four Worlds International Institute for Human and Community Development.
I am now retired and enjoy family and travelling.

All the photo's of the rooms are updated and available rooms beds have been shampoed and also the carpets after each student has left and comforters are dry cleaned also the pillows are washed here or drycleaned,
