I am a kind and considerate widowed older Canadian lady of African heritage. I own a beautiful four-bedroom split-level house located in the safe and pleasant neighborhood of Southdale, which is 20 minutes away from the University of Manitoba and 30 minutes from downtown. The bus stop is within a five-minute walking distance, and the Dart bus will drop you off in front of our home on Sundays and holidays.
I have been a Homestay Hostess with the University of Manitoba for the past eleven years. And University of Winnipeg for the past 5 years. As an experienced hostess, I am enthusiastic about showing you many of Winnipeg's cultural attractions. We would be pleased to offer you a furnished bedroom that includes free TV, cable, Wi-Fi, and laundry facilities. You will receive three meals daily—breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I am a proficient cook and would be happy to prepare your favorite dishes. Snacks are provided mainly in the evening.
The neighborhood primarily consists of elderly residents, some of whom have grown university students. We are close to Southdale Mall, which is only a fifteen-minute walk away. Additionally, I am only five minutes from J.H. Brun's High School on Lakewood Boulevard, and I welcome high school students as well. Currently, I have a student who attends this school.
