Homestay in Calgary, Canada
Hi,
We are a family of three. My husband and I both are educators and work at public schools. My son is in grade 7, and we have four cats and one homestay student.
We are looking for a responsible, humble and modest individual who can follow house rules, including limiting phone use while spending time with the family, as this is a child-friendly environment. Ideally, we would prefer to welcome someone who only does light cooking, we would like to avoid interfering with sharing the kitchen.
There will be a one-month trial period for both parties. If both sides agree, an extension is possible afterward.
Please don’t stay isolated in your room all the time. Join us to watch TV, play games, go to a park together to spend time with us and engage in in-person communication. Please remember that this is a homestay, not just a room rental. We hope you’ll take part in our daily life and make the most of this shared experience.
We are busy with work and my son’s activities, so we hope a student can join us or be independent. We have a bedroom on the main floor and a basement suite. The kitchen and the bathroom are shared with the family. The house has a security system (24-hour monitoring camera and one push emergency call to the police)
Our rate is 1000 per month per person with two meals during weekdays:
-Breakfast (self-service)
-Dinner
Meals are not included on weekends and holidays.

There are many stores and shops around here and 7-Eleven is in front of our house. You can get food anywhere.
We are located near downtown. You can walk to get there. The Route 90 bus stop is right by the house and Bridgeland C-train station is within walking distance.
Expectations and Responsibilities of the Homestay Student
1. Liability insurance is mandatory during your stay, or you must sign a contract with a witness to acknowledge responsibility. Additionally, you must pay a $1000 damage deposit if you do not have liability insurance.
2. Don't use your cellphone too much when you are with us
こんにちは。私たち夫婦はどちらともカルガリー教育委員会に勤めてます。私たちの家には中学生の息子が一人、４匹の猫ともう1人ベトナム人女性のホームステイスチューデントがいます。我が家はダウンタウンから非常に近く語学学校やBow Valley Collegeには歩いていけます。SAIT, U of C にもバスで比較的近い距離にあります。

家の目の前に２４時間営業の７Elevenがありレストランやカフェも徒歩５分居ないに沢山あるので食料に調達には困らないエリアです。ワーキングホリデーの人材を雇っているお店も複数あります。
子どもがいる環境なので家族と過ごす時間のケータイの使用を控えれる方を募集します。もし可能であればキッチンの使用も最小限に控えていただける方。双方のお試し期間で１ヶ月の期間を設けています。その後意見が合意すれば延長も可能です。
ホームステイ期間中liability insurance（賠償責任保険）に加入するか、契約書にサインすることが我が家でのホームステイの条件です。
