I love to have students from all over the world, to meet other cultures, and to have them know each other's traditions and history.
I'm an ESL teacher at Chicago City Colleges, I love to help students get settled in our city and fully enjoy of everything Chicago
has to offer for free. this October will be 3 years since I began hosting. We've made friends for life. I have visited some of their
countries and met their families. This month 2 of them came back to visit us, one of them an oil engineer from Ecuador with his whole family!!!
I was moved to meet them personally and not only in WhatsApp.! My son will be visiting some of them from Amsterdam, Munich,
to Switzerland this coming month.
I have an unpretentious house, but I want them to my contact page care for one another, encourage one another, and help each
other with homework and oral presentations, and even be present to support them on the day of the presentation.
We have a minimum common understanding of rules. Wash your dishes after eating, and turn off the lights when not in the room, simple guidelines
that establish respect for one another.
