Hello Homestays:

We are very happy to host people from different countries in our home. We are a culturally diverse family that enjoy sharing our culture and home with other people from abroad.

We are located in the beautiful, peaceful and quiet East Vancouver neighbourhood of Renfrew Heights.

The Renfrew Community Centre, Renfrew Ravine, Renfrew Park and Renfrew Library are a short 4 minute walk from our house. We live right across the street from Windermere Highschool with a big grassy field, an outdoor gym, tennis courts, and basketball court. Renfrew Community Centre has a gymnasium, weight room, pool, sauna, hot tub, game room and a big park.

When walking from our house, it is an 8 minute walk to the 29th Avenue Skytrain station, a 1 minute walk to the #16 bus and a 4 minute walk to #25 Brentwood/King Edward bus. The Skytrain ride takes about 15 minutes to downtown Vancouver, an 8 minute Skytrain ride to Commercial and Broadway station and a 5 minute train ride to Metrotown Mall. Please be advised that the travel times listed by Homestay Bay below are incorrect. Many times Homestay Bay lists are twice as long. Better to check Google Maps as it is more accurate. Eg. UBC only takes about 45 minutes by transit and 30 mins by car.

We are happy to host both males and females.
If the room is a shared occupancy (2 people) we will only place 2 females together in one room.
We will also only place 2 males together in a shared (2 people) occupancy. One exception: If you are travelling with a child.
Sorry, no couples will be hosted at our homestay.

Your room has its own entrance/exit to/from outside. The room is very large. You have a very large mirror, dresser, book shelf and wardrobe. There is a small table which acts as a desk or a table with chairs. You have your own sofa and a double Ikea futon bed with pillows and bedding included. A single bed can be added for double occupancy.

We like to cook many different cultural meals and if guests have any special foods.
If you are interested in eating out we have a few restaurants in the neighbourhood between 4 minutes and 10 minutes walking.
There is the world famous Ragazzi Pizza which is the absolute best authentic Italian stone fired pizza since the 1950's.
They also serve lasagna, spaghetti, salads, chicken wings and authentic Italian espresso.
There is also a Korean sushi and barbeque restaurant, a Bubble tea house, a Chinese restaurant, a Malaysian restaurant, an Asian food market and a European food market and deli, all just up the street.
The Real Canadian Superstore, Walmart, Canadian Tire, McDonalds, and Tim Hortons are just a few minutes away by bus.
