Hello! We are a homestay based in a very conveniently located central suburb of San Diego (Clairemont, for those familiar with San Diego).
Surrounded by lots of restaurants, markets and activities, we are also very accessible to many language schools, universities (UCSD, USD) and just a stones throw away from Mesa College.
We previously hosted several UCSD students and young professionals for several years, then took a break from hosting with the arrival of our 2 little daughters. But now that they are a bit older, we wanted to open our house again for homestay opportunities.
We have a beautiful home in a very quiet neighborhood, surrounded by lots of trees and friendly neighbors. Located at the end of a cul-de-sac, we hardly have any car or foot traffic, ensuring safety and security.
The room we have available is roughly 140 sq ft, fully furnished with a full-sized bed, full-sized closet w/ mirrored doors, shelf, nightstand, study desk & chair, lamp, TV (w/ Apple TV) and your own private bathroom (sink, toilet, bath-shower). The house also comes with central heat & AC; utilities, laundry usage and WiFi are included.
Our household is predominantly an English speaking environment, but some Japanese is used as we are raising our children bilingually.
We are looking for either a university student or young professional, who is respectful, and does not mind sharing the house with our family (including 2 little girls aged 5 and 3) and 2 playful toy poodles. Breakfast can be included for no additional charge, and dinner can be negotiated for an additional fee.
