カナダ, バンクーバーでホームステイ

We are a Canadian family of three, living and working in Vancouver. English is our first language. We have a lovely 3-bedroom home in the southeast part of Vancouver. We are situated 5 minutes from a seawall along the Fraser River, which is great for walking, running and cycling. There are also public tennis courts a short walk away along the river. All three of us have Black Belts in Taekwon-Do, so you will be very safe with us! We are about 35 minutes from downtown by transit. We only host one student at a time, and have had a lot of fun introducing students into our family and way of life.

The bedroom you would use has access to an outdoor rooftop deck. There is a queen-sized bed in a pullout couch, a big window, a closet and bookcases. There is a 32" flat screen TV in the room with access to high speed internet, WiFi and Netflix. You would share a bathroom with our 30-year-old son.

We eat a well-balanced diet - fresh fruit and vegetables and a variety of protein. You can make your own breakfast and lunch from what we have on hand, and we will make dinner in the evenings. You are an adult, and we will treat you as one - mutual respect and open communication are key.

Access to transit: (One zone throughout Vancouver) You can get downtown in about 35 minutes via three different routes. It is an 8 minute walk to the 22 bus. OR It is a 3-minute walk to a bus (#100) taking you (about 10 minutes) to the Canada Line Skytrain at Marine/Cambie, which is a 15-minute ride downtown. OR It is a 5-minute walk to the bus (#20) taking you (about 20 minutes) to the Expo and Millenium Line Skytrains at Commercial/Broadway, which is about an 8-minute ride downtown.
