I have a room in a beautiful town house that''s fully furnished and perfect for weekly commuters to Old Town Alexandria and corporate housing.
Thie place features many advantages, including:
1. Location, location, location!
a. 10 mins or less walk to Braddock Metro station, Capital bikeshare available from door to door, DASH bus also available to the metro station right from the house
b. 5 blocks from the famed King street and all its restaurants and other amenities
c. 5 blocks to the Potomac water front and all its beautiful parks
d. Literally across the street from Trader Joe's
e. Two blocks from 24 hours run Harris Teeter's
f. Starbucks one block away
g. A number of gyms, yoga studio, cafes, etc., within a few blocks
2. Quality of housing
a. A beautiful 4 story (inc. finished basement) townhouse; located inside the courtyard and secluded from the street
b. Well-kempt garden with a shade umbrella for summer and gas heater for winter; great for kicking back and enjoying coffee
c. Your room function as both a bedroom and work space / study
d. You have a full bathroom shared with me, but also has a half bath in the basement to use a toilette and sink
e. Plasma TV with a full lineup of HD cable channels; internet of course
f. Fully furnished thru and thru, including kitchen, so no need to bring anything with you for long-term stay
g. I can consider renting the garage space at additional cost, or as a part of the overall rent depending on the negotiation
3. Awesome housemate
a. A professional with an advanced degree in his 30s
b. Very clean, quite, polite and respectful
c. Travel quite a lot himself, so you may have the whole house to yourself many weeks!
d. Enjoys art, reading, and sharing drinks, so fun to be around!
e. Knows the DC area well and may take you to all the museums, events, and other fun activities
g. I am open to people of all culture and nationalities, and love to share experience, and that's why I signed up on homestay.
