Welcome to Our Homestay in Vancouver!

We’re the Parker family — an active, friendly household that loves sports, great food, and exploring everything Vancouver has to offer. This is our first time hosting a homestay, and we’re excited to welcome guests into our home and help them feel like part of our community.

Guests will stay in a private suite within our home, complete with a separate entrance. The space is mostly private to you, with occasional shared use of the fridge and stove by our family. It’s a comfortable, bright space ideal for focused study and quiet downtime, while still being part of a warm, family-oriented environment.

Our home is located in a safe, central neighbourhood with excellent access to transit. We’re just a short walk to Oakridge SkyTrain Station and have direct bus access to UBC, making it easy to get around the city for school, work, or exploration.

Sarah has travelled extensively throughout Asia, the South Pacific, and Australia. Together, we’ve visited Mexico, Hawaii, and much of the United States, and we enjoy connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. Our two sons are in elementary school and love hockey, so our home is lively but respectful.

We’re an active family who enjoys outdoor adventures, sports, and discovering local food spots. We also love sharing tips about the city and helping our guests settle in and explore Vancouver with confidence.

We’re active members of our local school and sports communities and enjoy contributing to youth programs and events.

House Rules:

To keep things enjoyable for everyone, we kindly ask that guests follow these basic guidelines:
• No smoking or vaping in the house or on the property
• No overnight guests without prior approval
• Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM daily
• Please clean up after yourself in shared spaces
• Light cooking is welcome; please keep the kitchen tidy
• Respect our family’s routines and occasional use of the kitchen appliances
• Laundry is available once per week (additional loads may be arranged at extra cost)
• Meals and groceries are not included
