I really enjoy living with people...not sure why. I have been hosting for over 20 years and its enriched my life. Actually ,I could write a book about what hosting has brought to me. I understand more about different cultures and have a deep admiration for young women who have the courage to travel to the other side of the world , usually alone, to experience a different life.
I am an artist. ( My home was featured in a decorating magazine.) Right now I'm painting large pieces of abstract art that I sell at fairs and moving into portraits..probably pet portraits! My plan is to make something that looks good everyday.!!
My townhouse is an 11 min bus ride to Algonquin College. It featured bright spacious completely furnished rooms decked out with bright white IKEA bedding.All guest have to bring is themselves and their books. The rent includes utilities and dependable wifi.
We share the kitchen, bath ,laundry room, all clean up after ourselves, take out our own garbage, cook quick meals to free up the kitchen for the next person and have no guests. You can come and go as you please but its super quiet between 11pm and 8 am. We shower around those times.
My partner, a retired high tech guy, lives on the main floor. Guests are on the upper and lower floors.I am in my next door studio during the day. This is a great place for an independent female. I 'll help you get started and you can carve out your life.I have had some women who have stayed here for many years and appreciate that its an clean, safe drama free home.
