We are a small family of two and love to host international students. I came to Canada 25 years ago as an international student myself and know first hand about all the challenges that are faced and the transition to making Canada your new home away from home. I would love to show you around and make it easier for you to learn your way around, cultural differences, shopping and some of the beautiful places in British Columbia. I attended an international school (Lester Pearson College) and enjoyed the diversity of students from different backgrounds. I have been hosting students on and off for the past 15 years as a host family but this will be my first time to host as a homestay family. I am so excited about this opportunity and I look forward to welcoming one or two students to our home.

We love to travel and I have been to Africa, the Caribbean, Mexico, Europe( England and Netherlands) and extensively in the USA. We still would love to visit other continents and more countries down the road. My son is 16 years old and very active in Basketball, skating, skateboarding, skiing and swimming. I enjoy walking, travelling to new places, cooking and art.

We do not allow smoking, overnight guests, pets or any form of drugs. We welcome students that are respectful, can clean up after themselves and are quiet. If you have any concerns, I am always willing to address them and I will do everything possible to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable. We also offer a no meal option where the pricing can be reduced.

We are offering two homestay options. First one is a bedroom upstairs with shared bathroom and furnished. Second option is a self contained suit for a mature student or couple who prefers a semi independent style of living with own entrance, alarm and bathroom.
