My name is Kathie I have been hosting International students for 5 years. My student are usually in high school and stay for 10 months. My students rent their rooms from 1 to 4 years. It is very important that my student achieved very good grades. As a host parent I follow my students grades closely just as I do with my son. I provide healthy meals to my students and include dishes from their country. Meals usually consist of meats, vegetables, and rice or noodles.

Heritage Christian High School ( Northridge)

We live in a gated community, which is very quiet, and my neighbors are like family. Our neighborhood is made up of different cultural backgrounds. My home is a 4 bedroom, 3 bath two-story dwelling. We have a small backyard.

Our neighborhood is very safe. We have a gym, grocery store, and drug store in walking distance from the house. There are malls very close and we are not located too far from Hollywood, Universal City or Magic Mountain.

Taking students to activate their cell phones
Taking student take their Toefl test.
Taking students to haircuts.
Attending school events
Meeting with teachers concerning low grades.
Taking students to the doctor if needed.
Helping students improve their English.
