We are happy to welcome you to live in our home while you study or work here in Canada. Our hope is that you feel truly welcome and become a part of our family. We have been hosting international students for five years and have greatly enjoyed the experience of meeting young people from all over the world. It’s a wonderful and rewarding opportunity to learn about different customs and cultures.
A little about us: Our names are Valerie and Eduardo Vergara. We both work in healthcare at a hospital. We moved into this lovely home in 2018. We have two children—a 7-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl. I love to cook and experiment with a variety of dishes. As a family, we enjoy watching movies, hosting parties with friends and relatives, traveling, and exploring new foods.
Our home is conveniently located with excellent transit options, making most trips easy and accessible. We are within walking distance of grocery stores, variety shops, and coffee shops. The 24-hour bus stop is just a 1-2 minute walk from our house and takes you directly to the Keele subway station within 15-20 minutes. Downtown Toronto is about 25-30 minutes away from our place. The UP Union Pearson Express at the Weston GO/UP stop is a 12-minute walk from our home.
We are committed to treating every student with the utmost respect, providing outstanding hospitality and support. We ensure that your physical and psychological well-being are looked after by making sure you have nutritious meals, a comfortable place to live, and assistance whenever you have any concerns.
You can be assured that our home is clean, safe, and comfortable. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions—we are here to help and support you in every way we can.
Please note that the fee covers 28 days (4 weeks). The summer rate is different; it is $1,100 per 4 weeks.
