Caroline's Homestay

Homestay in 紐西蘭 － 纳皮尔

I live with my two young boys (almost 6 years old and almost 4 years old), our lives are busy, active, a little chaotic (as life with two young boys can be) but fun.

We also have our beloved Cat - his name is Cat Stevens (Yes, that usually gets a laugh) he is very friendly and cuddly, has a cat door to come and go when he pleases.

I spent a lot of time travelling throughout my 20s before returning to NZ 10 years ago, I absolutely miss experiencing different cultures and engaging with others from around the world. I'd love for my boys experience the same, and while travelling isn't an option for us right now I thought offering homestay experience would be another way for them to learn and engage with people from other walks of life, while also showing someone else our kiwi way of life.

We have a 4 bedroom home, with the spare room at the end of the house, perfect to offer to someone who enjoys children but can escape the noise at the other end of the house when they like.

We are a short walk into the middle of Napier, very close to marine parade and all amenities. Easy to walk or bike anywhere, with bus stops also very close.

We have a backyard, trampoline, spa pool and love to get out and about every weekend exploring the region and other parts of NZ.

My oldest loves to learn, read play board games, card games, learning about the world and also a bit of rough and tumble play with his brother. My youngest is cheeky, fun and loves anything outdoors. While the boys are active and it can be noisy at times, there is also a lot of downtime and they are in bed early every night, so plenty of opportunity for a bit of peace.

I work 5 days a week around school hours and often work in the evenings from home.

We keep a clean and tidy house, but of course with young kids it's not tidy 100% of the time :) but I ensure it's tidy and organsised every evening to start fresh the next day.

We have WIFI, a smart TV, modern kitchen and bathroom, I enjoy cooking and keeping active with the boys.

Our house is cosy and full of fun.
