Our house is located in a very safe area of Sunnyside (Queens, NYC), with ready access to multiple modes of 24-hour public transportation to all boroughs of New York City. Manhattan is just minutes away via buses and subway access that is within convenient walking distance of the home, and very easy to locate. There are plenty of affordable restaurant options serving a wide array of excellent cuisine from around the world within a five-to-ten-minute walking distance of this accommodations, including the BEST pizza in NYC just up the street from our home. Local and national brand grocery stores, drugstores, banks, laundromats, and other shopping are in the immediate area, easy to find on foot or via multiple smart-phone apps.
We are a multi generation household. Taara is in high school and is on the wrestling and track teams. Luli's is very social and loves to draw. Lavina loves fashion and going out. My mother is grandma to everyone. She is vegetarian and is very religious. Most of the students go to Temple with us at least once for the experience. I take care of my mother. I love to cook, go to the movies, Broadway shows or just walk around the neighborhood. We've had students from all over the world that stayed with us. In the living room, you will see a Globe for everyone to put in a pin of their country. We have game nights and movie nights, burgers and hot dogs. If you want to cook, feel free to do so.
We are a multi generation household.
My mother is 85 years old, my daughter Lavina is 27, Taara is 16 and my son Ashton 26, lives in Brooklyn. David 47 my cousin, and his daughter Luli 10 and myself Devika 58.
We've been living here in Sunnyside in this house since 1980.
