Dear students,

Warm and compassionate family that hosted students from all around the world for more than 15 years.
I’ve hosted students from Germany, Mexico, Brazil, China, Spain, Italy, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea & Vietnam that attended at Heartland International English School, Winnipeg School Division & University of Winnipeg.

I am excited to provide a welcoming and supportive home for an international student. I am passionate about cultural exchange and eager to share our daily life, traditions, and the beauty of Winnipeg with our guest. I offer a private, comfortable bedroom and nutritious, home-cooked meals, along with high-speed internet access.

I believe in creating a true family environment where our student can feel safe, learn new things, and build lasting memories as they experience a new culture through a local's eyes.

I really love hosting to gain a deeper understanding of other cultures, foster lifelong friendships, broaden their own worldview, and experience the world from a new perspective, often discovering new things about their own community in the process. The experience also provides a chance for my family to share our own culture and traditions, support global understanding, and create lasting, meaningful connections with students from around the world. 

My home is a secure and comfortable space where the student can relax and study.
You will be integrated into our family life and supported in your transition to a new environment. 

I live in a safe, nice & friendly neighborhood for more than 16 years now.
Close to schools/everywhere like parks, malls, grocery stores, restaurants, theater, museums, hospitals & banks.
It only takes about 3 minutes to walk to the bus stop.

I’ve travelled to a few countries/places like Philippines, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, London, Hawaii, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego & San Francisco.

My rules are pretty basic:
Be courteous & polite, respectful and have open conversations.

Clean Up After Yourself: 
Always clean your personal space, the bathroom, and any common areas you use, such as the kitchen. 

Personal Chores:
Keep your room tidy and organized, and do your own laundry once a week only.

For me hosting is about more than just accommodation; it's about making the student feel like an extended family member.
