SDSU = 5 miles. Grossmont College + 1 mile. Gillespie Field Flight Schools= 5 miles. Connect English= 5.5 miles.

This is a very safe/quiet neighborhood. Easy to walk/bike to grocery stores. Bus stop about 1 mile. During the Fall/Winter seasons, our average temperature is 65-70 degrees; in the Spring/Summer the temperature average is between 78-85 degrees Fahrenheit. It is like living in paradise!

We are at the base of a beautiful mountain so there is great hiking right out the front door. We are super close to great restaurants, coffee houses & markets.

About 1.8 miles from us is s a beautiful freshwater lake (Lake Murray). You can fish, rent a boat and paddle around and it has a great 5 mile walking path.

As for the beach, we are 25 minutes & 16 miles. The beach is beautiful in the winter. You can rent bikes and pedal all over the place down there.

About 37 miles & 51 minutes from here, are beautiful mountains for hiking & camping. There are great little towns all over in our mountains.

About 13 miles & 22 minutes from the house, is the world famous San Diego Zoo and it is lots of fun.

About 14 miles & 19 minutes from the house, is the Gaslamp District of downtown San Diego. There are MANY super cool restaurants and shops. We have great nightlife in San Diego and our tourism industry is booming. There are LOTS of great things to do in San Diego.

The available rooms are a part of our new flat we just built. It is all very clean, modern and NEW! There are two bedrooms with a shared full bathroom. Your linens are included as is the toilet paper and hand soap. You will provide your personal toiletries. You will see in the pictures of our homestay, we have a new HE washer & dryer for your use. We will supply fragrance free, dye free laundry detergent & fabric softener. The washer & dryer are located in the flat that your bedroom is attached to so doing laundry is VERY easy. There is also a dining counter for your use. The kitchenette is stocked with plates, cups and utensils. You will also have paper plates and paper towels. Everything is new. There is also a hot water kettle for your use. The new refrigerator is for you and your flatmate's use only (we will not use your refrigerator) so feel free to stock up with your own food. We supply assorted tea for you as well. There is a new microwave. We are very clean people and expect you to keep your flat clean too. The flat has it's own private entrance with a security screen door as well as a secured door. This homestay is excellent for girl students as we have taken extra steps to make our homestay students feel safe, secure and taken care of at all times.

We have been married for 27 years so this is a stable home environment. My husband is a Law Enforcement & Fire Fighter Chaplain and we are pretty mellow people. We entertain often and have a really nice group of friends, so nothing raucous! Absolutely no drugs allowed. We have Pomeranian dogs. Super cute and VERY friendly. No cats.

Our home was recently remodeled so all the rooms are new and clean. The flat is self-contained. Each bedroom has a new bed, night stand, desk, closet/wardrobe and wi-fi for internet access. There are USB charging ports installed in each room, by the desk for your convenience.

We keep our home neat and clean and ask that you do too!

***No overnight guests. No smoking. No drugs EVER. There is a $150 cleaning deposit. Leave your room & bathroom exactly the way you found it, your deposit will be gladly returned!
